Holy Week is a special time at St. Michael’s. Please join us for any or all of the following services.
Holy Monday (April 10), 6 pm: Holy Eucharist with Service of Healing. A meditation on the healing ministry of Jesus.
Holy Tuesday (April 11), 6 pm: Tenebrae (An ancient Monastic Service). A quiet, reflective service involving a series of prayers, readings from Scripture and responses to those readings.
Holy Wednesday (April 12), 6 pm: Eucharist and A Service of Remembrance. This service is an opportunity to position our grief over the death of loved ones in light of the Paschal story.
Maundy Thursday (April 13), 6 pm: Foot-washing, Agape Meal and Stripping of the Altar. This evening recreates the Passover Meal (Last Supper) that Jesus shared with his disciples.
Good Friday (April 14), Noon. The Way of the Cross. Also known as “Stations of the Cross,” this service combines readings and prayers as a meditation from the time Jesus is condemned to death until he is laid in the tomb.
Good Friday (April 14), 6 pm: The Good Friday Liturgy and Veneration of the Cross. This is a quiet and reserved service to experience the bareness and emptiness of the world which crucified Christ.
Saturday Easter Vigil (April 15), 8 pm: The Great Vigil of Easter. Considered the first service of Easter Day, the liturgy includes lighting of the Paschal candle.
Easter (April 16), 8 am and 10:30 am: Holy Eucharist. A celebration that Christ has risen!
